RISE Now

RISE Now tailors our Research-informed Individualized Student Education (RISE) to the needs of adults with suspected or diagnosed learning differences. The program supports adults in achieving their specific learning, education, or employment goals through targeted support and intervention.

Who

Adults (aged 18+) with suspected or diagnosed learning differences who are looking for individualized support in the area of literacy, numeracy, or executive functioning skills.

Where

RISE Now sessions are offered in person or online via our interactive online platform. In person sessions are available at our  East Vancouver Learning Centre or North Vancouver Learning Center.

When

Sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis based on student and instructor availability. The length of the program is dependent on the needs of the individual student and is identified during the intake process. 

Our typical hours of services are Monday through Friday 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.

Program Description

RISE Now supports adults with learning differences. If you are an adult with literacy or math challenges and need learning support to meet your goals, RISE Now is for you. Whether you have a suspected or diagnosed learning disability like ADHD or dyslexia, our Research-informed Individualized Student Education (RISE) can meet you where you are in your learning journey. RISE Now gives you support to help you succeed in post-secondary education, a training program or return to the workforce with our targeted support and intervention.

RISE Now is designed for adult learning and meets each individual’s needs, skills, and goals. Each student is paired with a specialized, compassionate instructor to work towards their education or career goals. This program can provide the following:

  • Support for adults undertaking courses or training, including adult education, university courses, or pre-employment programs.
  • Explicit instruction to support literacy (reading/writing) or math skills.
  • Employment basics (resume and cover letter development, interviewing, applications) for entry or return to the workforce.

Program Pricing

Program fees are offered on a sliding scale based on individual/household income to ensure our services are accessible to all. Internal bursaries will be made available for individuals/families who qualify.
