Program Description

The Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement, third edition (KTEA-3) is a Level B academic assessment.

The results provide detailed information about your child’s learning profile in areas such as reading, written expression, and mathematics, highlighting strengths and areas for growth.

The report can be an especially useful tool for families advocating for learning accommodations at school and can indicate the need for further testing or support.

Assessments take place during the day to minimize cognitive fatigue. We recommend having a slow morning with a good meal before coming and a fun treat afterward!

The KTEA-3 assessment timing is dependent on each learner. Assessments are booked for two hours but may take as little as one hour to three hours to complete. Guardians are encouraged to stay in the area or our lobby.

Please note that the KTEA-3 is not a substitute for a formal psycho-educational assessment, as it does not assess cognitive performance.

Costs

  • Our sliding scale is applied to this assessment.
  • The Academic Assessment (KTEA-3) is $375.
  • The Academic Assessment (KTEA-3) and the Dyslexia Index is $475.
