Khalifa (she/her) has been working in inclusive education for over three years as both a Behaviour Interventionist and Early Childhood Educator. She has extensive experience volunteering in BC schools with children in grades K-7. In her work and volunteer positions, she has supported diverse learners ages 3–19 with literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Education Minor in Learning and Developmental Disabilities from Simon Fraser University, as well as an Advanced Certificate in Disability and Applied Behaviour Analysis from Douglas College. She is joining Simon Fraser University’s Professional Development Program in September 2023 to earn her Bachelor of Education and BC Teaching Certificate.
Khalifa creates a positive learning environment where all learners feel empowered and capable. She believes that learners must have access to support and resources that best fit their unique learning needs, and she is proud to be a part of LDS, an organization that provides these supports and resources.
