Virginia Van Zee

Bachelor of Arts in Speech Sciences

Virginia (she/her) has a BA in Speech Sciences from the University of British Columbia. Her experience includes twelve years working in play-based settings with children with disabilities and eight years working in educational settings with students with learning disabilities. She has extensive experience in remedial instruction, working with students of all ages in reading, spelling, comprehension, writing, and math. Virginia has also provided leadership to support learners and staff with case management, staff development and training, and student assessments.  

Virginia is enthusiastic about supporting families, instructors, and students to find the best solutions to reach their goals. She takes an individualized approach with a problem-solving mindset to ensure every child is included in the education system and beyond. She enjoys facilitating collaborative processes to create actionable, measurable steps toward progress.  

Outside of work, Virginia enjoys being at home with her cat or taking her dog on a long walk while listening to an audiobook. She would love to see pictures of your pets.
