What makes RISE different than tutoring?
RISE One-to-One instruction is more than tutoring. It provides comprehensive support from our full team of professionals. This support is personalized to meet each student’s learning goals. It includes focused support in these areas:
- Foundational skills – literacy and/or math (often a focus from grades 1-5).
- School skills – executive function, self-regulation for learning, studying, homework and coursework (often a focus from grades 6-12).

2025-26 Fees
Comprehensive RISE One-to-One support is $104 an hour. We recommend students receive 2 hours a week of learning support.
You can use our sliding scale for fees if your household income is $160,000 or less. Our sliding scale is made possible by a) families applying for external support from third-party funders and b) support from LDS’ charitable bursary fund.
When to expect a placement offer
After applying for RISE One-to-One, you schedule an appointment with our Family and Student Services Team. Our team will learn about your child’s learning needs at this appointment. They will also help you apply for additional funding if eligible.
Once the intake process finishes, our team works to place your child with the best instructor for them. We cannot guarantee when your child will receive a placement offer from our team. We will do our best to place your child as soon as possible in the school year. The more availability you provide, the sooner we are likely to offer a placement.
