LDS Access is a mobile classroom that we have available to meet children with learning differences and provide outreach learning support and assistive technology to communities in and around Metro Vancouver.

Students in grades 1 to 12 with suspected or diagnosed learning differences looking for continuous, high-quality, one-to-one learning support.
Families looking for specialized learning support in the neighbourhood where they live.

When
Lessons are generally 50 minutes each of instruction and are offered Monday to Friday between 9 am and 8 pm as well as Saturdays between 9 am and 5 pm.
Lesson times vary depending on the program and the time of year.
Who is LDS Access for?
At LDS we are transforming accessibility to address the real barriers families face in accessing services including geography and family income. Whether students attend our one-to-one program at our East Vancouver or North Vancouver Learning centres, our partner schools, via our RISE at Home online program, or aboard LDS Access, our programs transcend geographical restraints and operate on sliding fee scales to ensure that all students can receive the individualized supports they need to thrive throughout their life span.

All-Electric Minibus
Working with local Vancouver companies, Green Power and NGSI, we customized a clean energy all-electric minibus to create a mobile classroom for students with learning differences, the first of its kind in Canada. See our tv, radio and other BC-wide media coverage here.
In The PressInnovative Design
The innovative design elements of LDS Access ensure COVID-19 protective measures are maintained within each of the mobile classroom’s three physically distanced instruction stations.
Award-winning Artist
Award-winning artist Carson Ting was inspired by LDS Access and created a mural that wraps around the bus and captures the essence of the LDS Mission and Vision.
