Summer Tutoring Focus

Each learner focuses on one primary subject area to support meaningful progress:
  • Literacy (reading and writing)
  • Math
  • High school course support (including science, socials, and summer school preparation)

If space is limited in a selected subject, we may offer placement in a secondary choice.

Kindergarten to Grade 2
A focus on early literacy and numeracy through play-based, engaging learning. Sessions support transitions and build foundational skills in a low-pressure environment.

Grades 3–12
A focus on strengthening academic skills, preventing summer learning loss, and building confidence. Students also develop learning strategies to support long-term success.

Summer Tutoring FAQ

If the instructor you’ve had for the past year happens to match your availability and has space in their schedule, we will do our best to match your 2025-26 instructor. If that is something you’d like, please note that in the additional notes in your application. Please bear in mind that many of our team take vacation over the summer, or do not work with Learn. Develop. Succeed. over the summer months, so it might not work out.

Yes, because of the statutory holiday on Monday, August 4, learners scheduled on Monday/Wednesday will have one fewer session during the August block.

  • Monday/Wednesday learners: 7 August sessions
  • Tuesday/Thursday learners: 8 August sessions

The tutoring fee is based on the lower session count (7 sessions for August), so families scheduled on Monday/Wednesday are not losing value. Tuesday/Thursday learners may receive one additional session due to the calendar alignment, but pricing remains consistent across both scheduling options.

Yes, we provide live online summer tutoring for students across British Columbia and Canada, in addition to in-person sessions in Vancouver.
