November 30, 2021 – The Vancouver Sun and Post Media highlight the importance of fundraising and Giving Tuesday for organizations big and small, including LDS. “LDS Executive director Rachel Forbes says, ‘We’re currently trying to grow our donor base in order to expand our programs, and also because the COVID-19 restrictions have caused economic havoc in so many households and understandably limited the ability of people to give to worthy causes.'”

November 15, 2021 – Rogers Communication showcases its Ted Rogers Community Grant recipients, one of which is LDS. This grant will allow us to offer a second cohort of RISE TEAM, our youth employment readiness program. 

September 28, 2021 – Cole Schisler reports, “For many families, there are significant barriers to accessing programs for children with learning differences. A Vancouver-based advocacy group is putting the rubber on the road – with a vibrant customized bus – in hopes of mending that gap.” The article has been published in 75 regional Black Press publications across BC.
