June 21 is National Indigenous Day in Canada, a day to celebrate the heritage, cultures, and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. It is a day to give thanks for the land we graciously live and work upon. At LDS, we acknowledge that we operate on the traditional unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.
We owe it to every student we serve to actively hold a safe space for them, which is why we strive to create a supportive and inclusive community at LDS.
