Shawna Chilton

Shawna (she/her/they) is an operations and human resources professional with over two decades of experience. Her career has mostly been in the nonprofit sector in British Columbia, including the environment, healthcare, and professional regulation. Shawna is passionate about helping to create inclusive and effective teams through progressive policies and practices.  

Members of Shawna’s family have learning differences, and they have experienced discrimination and setbacks. She is very impressed by the work of Learn. Develop. Succeed., and how far education has evolved to help ensure everyone can learn in their own way, and to develop their unique strengths.  

Shawna lives on the North Shore with her husband and the cutest dog in the whole world. She enjoys spending time with her niece and nephews, hiking, and has recently taken up bird watching.
