Lisa S.

Instructor

Education Assistant Certificate

Lisa (she/her) has 18 years of experience working with children, youth, and families. Her career path has followed a unique trajectory, starting in the arts and weaving its way to support the neurodivergent population in the traditional school setting. Her passion for outside-of-the-box thinking guides her work as an education assistant, supporting and encouraging students to connect with the curriculum in ways that are meaningful to them. Opportunities for social-emotional learning find their way into all of her sessions as she emphasizes positive feedback, patience, and compassionate understanding.

She holds an Education Assistant Certificate from Capilano University and has spent over two decades studying formal dance training, intensive yoga studies, and performing as a storyteller. These experiences have shaped her capacity for intuition in her approach to supporting learners in acquiring the skills they require to move ahead with confidence and clarity.
