Jonas is a BC Certified teacher with an Honours Bachelor of Science, specializing in Neuroscience, from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Education from York University, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Education from Queen’s University, with a focus on Social-Emotional Learning and supporting autistic learners.
Jonas has experience teaching secondary school science across both Ontario and BC and has loved his experiences working with students across Grades 9-12, specializing in General Science and Biology. He brings a deeply student-centred philosophy, using frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning and Differentiated Instruction to build inclusive spaces where learners of all unique needs and differences feel empowered to thrive.
When he’s not teaching, Jonas enjoys pursuing various hobbies and sports, including video games, disc golf, rock climbing, bowling, and collecting Pokémon cards.
