Sarah (she/her) is a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience in elementary teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Education from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops and a Master of Education from Queen’s University. Throughout her career, Sarah has held various roles, including classroom teacher, teacher mentor, literacy and math intervention specialist, and English language learning strategist.
Sarah has a passion for literacy and English language learning. She enjoys using literature, games, and research-based instructional strategies to engage students and make learning a meaningful experience. Sarah is especially motivated by the “aha” moments when students make connections and gain confidence. She prioritizes building strong relationships with students and creating a sense of belonging to support learning. She incorporates goal setting and check-ins into her teaching as a regular practice to help students recognize their growth and progress.
