VanDusen Botanical Garden welcomes neurodiverse individuals, their families, and caretakers to enjoy Festival of Lights in a comfortable and less crowded environment on Tuesday, December 3. The event capacity will be reduced by over 50% during the sensory friendly evening. Audio levels will be decreased, and flashing lights will be turned off for the night.

Join AutismBC for a hands-on beading workshop where participants will create their own neurodiversity pins under the guidance of Shyla Elgie, a talented Cree/Métis beadwork artist. During this interactive event, Shyla will share her knowledge and passion for beading, a skill she embraced to reconnect with her Indigenous roots.

The Vancouver Aquarium hosts Sensory Friendly hours to welcome neurodiverse individuals, their families and caregivers the opportunity to enjoy the Aquarium. Light and audio levels will be reduced around the aquarium during Sensory Friendly Hours. They also have comfort kits that can be taken out free of charge from the Guest Services Desk, including noise-blocking ear protectors, fidget toys, instructive cue cards and a photographic activity guide.
