Raquel (she/her) has training and experience as an Orton-Gillingham Tutor teaching spelling, reading and writing. She has over ten years of experience working with children in school and community settings. This passion for supporting students with their learning needs led her to complete OG training in 2021. She greatly enjoys working one-to-one with students in the areas of spelling, reading and writing to increase their academic skills and confidence. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Philippines and additionally completed an Education Assistant Diploma in BC. Raquel additionally works in a lower mainland school district as an Education Assistant where she supports learners with learning differences in overcoming their challenges to reach their full potential.

In our Research-informed Individualized Student Education at Home (RISE at Home) program, students across BC learn virtually via our secure online systems one-to-one with a qualified instructor through reading intervention, language-based learning, tutoring, and homework support.
