Megan (she/her) has an extensive background in the education field, having worked in the community and in school settings for over 7 years. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology and an Education Assistant and Community Support Worker Certificate from Thompson Rivers University. As an educator, Megan specializes in students with learning differences, and her motto has always been the 4 “F”s – Fun, Friendly, Firm, and Fair to all students. Megan’s methods are always to take lessons step by step towards an ultimate goal all while having fun and learning along the way. Her individualized learning support is personalized to fit well with students’ strengths and goals. LDS has given her a great platform to continue to be a positive advocate and educator in helping support students with special needs. Overall, Megan enjoys learning with her students and being a supportive member of their learning journey!
Our tutoring and instruction programs follow our unique Research-informed Individualized Student Education (RISE) methodology.
In our Research-informed Individualized Student Education at Home (RISE at Home) program, students across BC learn virtually via our secure online systems one-to-one with a qualified instructor through reading intervention, language-based learning, tutoring, and homework support.
At LDS, we are using assistive technology to enhance best practices in our teaching and student learning and to further the accessibility and inclusiveness of our learning support.
