Postgrad Certificate – Learning Disabilities, Graduate Diploma of Education

Originally from Scotland, June (she/her) moved to Vancouver in 2019. She is a linguist (a French and Italian speaker) who is passionate about helping students with learning differences.

June has over 30 years of teaching experience with a specialization in specific learning disorders. June trained initially as an elementary school teacher. She has a wealth of varied teaching experience in learning disabilities, English as a Second Language, (ESL), and Remedial Teaching to children and young adults. She trained as a Specialist Dyslexia Teacher at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2009, where she taught for ten years at a large High School in Cheshire as a one-to-one remedial teacher. June relishes being a member of the LDS team and brings her multi-sensory approach to literacy and numeracy instruction to her LDS students.
